Our Guild celebrates the art and traditions of oral storytelling. Members and friends meet once a month to share stories and practice storytelling skills. Each year the guild sponsors a number of public events - performances and workshops - to schools, libraries, church groups and community organisations. We also actively participate in local and national festivals. The Guild is proud to include in its membership - dedicated listeners, beginning and experienced tellers alike - as well as organisations such as schools, libraries and community groups. Our stories come from many cultures and include traditional folktales, family and personal stories, humorous tales and anecdotes, urban myths, sacred stories from different traditions and tall tales.
